UFC celebrities seem to be invading the World Series of Poker.First, there was Mike Swick, UFC welterweight who finishes 10th of 2,521 in the
World Series of Poker No. 42. Just recently, there’s the famous Bruce Buffer who was qualified for the main event.
Bruce buffer, our favorite UFC announcer, finished 478th out of 7,319 participants and earned $27,519. The main event is not a joke. It’s a $10,000-buyin no-limit
Texas holde’m game. He was eliminated from the game when his pocket aces lost to his opponent who flopped quad 8s.
Still, not bad for earning almost 300% of his buy-in. Good job, Bruce!
These UFC favorites, Mike Swick (earned $34,748) and Bruce Buffer are also part-time poker pros. It’s already Mike Swick’s second time to cashed in
a WSOP event. On the other hand, it’s the first time Bruce cashed in a WSOP tournament, but he has also cashed in World Poker tour
and LA poker Classic tournaments.
